This year took place the thirteenth edition of the Festival of the Sea Turtle Tulum which aims to celebrate the end of the nesting season that began on May the 1st. Making evident the effort every year for over a decade participants Organizing Committee comprised by companies from the private sector, government sector agencies and civil society as Tulum Foundation among others.

To know is the best way to protect this phrase used by many environmental educators makes sense in the festival’s program, although mostly directed at its content to children and adolescents, provides knowledge about sea turtles to the public and importance of the protection and preservation of this ancient species. Sea turtles love our beaches because of the 8 species in the world 6 nesting in Mexico and 4 in these beautiful shores, we could almost say they are Mexican !. The Festival also becomes, year after year is an opportunity to thank the turtle for his tireless work, they despite the mosquitoes, Chaquiste, rain, lack of sleep and other things to which they face in their continue daily work, they are committed to the care and conservation of sea turtles.
